Provenance & Lineage Graph

Dcc Pipeline Updated 18 Jul 2026

What it does

The Provenance browser lists PEID-tagged elements per shot. The lineage graph shows upstream inputs (left) and downstream consumers (right) around a focus element.

How to read the graph

  • Columns - depth in the chain; parents are upstream, children downstream.
  • Impact panel - recursive list of everything built from this element (status chips).
  • Detail panel - Software (DCC), File type, version, status, Cost (PEID-3), path.
  • Software / File type - normalized DCC label and extension (hip, bgeo, exr, etc.).

What to do

Use the graph to debug wrong comp pulls, missing caches, or stale inputs. Paste a PEID in search to jump directly. Open Where used from the impact rail when planning a publish.
