Credit Notes & Advances
Client credits, up-front advances/retainers, and the expense policy. Advances held: 25,000 across 1.
How this works
Credit note = money you give BACK to a client (discount/goodwill/overbilling). Click applied to consume it - it then reduces the project AR outstanding and revenue. Void cancels it.
Advance / retainer = money the client pays UP FRONT. Held = unconsumed. Two ways to draw it down: Apply = type an amount and consume the advance directly against the project's AR (no invoice document - quick internal drawdown). Invoice it = create a DRAFT invoice for the outstanding advance amount so the client gets a billing document; the advance applies automatically when you send that invoice. Both reduce AR and count as cash collected.
Expense policy = studio caps (soft warning at submit) + per-diem/mileage rates the expense form uses to auto-calc claims.
