? How bidding works (click to hide)
- Set bid hours. In the matrix below, click any set bid cell for a shot/task and type the planned hours. That estimate is your bid.
- Actuals fill in on their own. As artists log approved/submitted timesheet hours, the Act value grows and Var turns green (under) or red (over) bid.
- Send the bid for approval. In Send Bid for Approval (left), add an optional rate + cover note and click Send bid - it emails the client a versioned snapshot of the current totals.
- Lock it as the budget. When the client approves (see Bid History, right), click Convert to budget baseline. This freezes the approved bid's hours and money as the project's official budget - the number every later cost/burn report measures against (and what Auto-Schedule plans the calendar from). The matrix can keep changing afterwards, but the baseline stays put so you can see drift against what the client signed off.
