Paid (use balance) Unpaid (LOP)

Paid uses your leave balance (OT leave is consumed first, then the yearly pool) - you still get full salary for those days. Unpaid = LOP (Loss of Pay): used when you have no balance left or choose it deliberately. It touches no balance, but that day is deducted from your salary for the month. Unexplained absence (no attendance + no request) is auto-recorded as LOP too.
